Jail
Jail: Navigating the Bars of the Underworld
In the treacherous world of Rails Network Mobsters, getting thrown into jail is a common risk. Whether it’s after a botched heist or an unfortunate run-in with the law, ending up behind bars is never the end. Here’s how the jail system works and how you can break free.
Understanding Jail Security
The security level of each jail is determined by the activity at that jail. High activity means higher security and a tougher time breaking out, while lower activity might give you an easier chance to escape.
Getting Thrown in Jail
You might find yourself behind bars after an encounter with the police. Don’t worry, though; there are always ways to regain your freedom:
- Bust Out Attempts: Other players can attempt to bust you out. To do this, they must not be in jail themselves. They simply need to go to the jail page and select "Bust Out" next to your name.
- Self-Escape Attempts: You can also try to escape jail yourself. However, this comes with risks. Attempting to escape may fail or succeed, giving you a chance to evade being sent to lock up.
Lockup: The Waiting Game
If you’re placed in lockup:
- No Escape: You cannot attempt to escape or have someone bust you out while in lockup.
- Time or Gold: Your only options are to wait for your time to expire or spend 1 crystal to get out immediately.
Visual Cues
To help you keep track, the police badge icon in your interface will illuminate gold if there is someone in jail in your current city. This is a handy way to know if you can help a fellow mobster or if you need to be on high alert.
Example Scenario
Imagine you’re Vinnie "The Viper," a notorious gangster known for your daring escapes. After a failed heist, you find yourself in the clink.
Busting Out Your ally, Frankie "The Fox," sees the gold shield icon and realizes you’re in trouble. He heads to the jail page and selects "Bust Out" next to your name. After a tense moment, you hear the click of the lock—Frankie has successfully busted you out!
Self-Escape On another occasion, you’re less fortunate. With no one around to help, you decide to attempt an escape yourself. It’s risky, and after a few close calls, you manage to slip past the guards and make a run for it. You’re free, but you know you’ll need to lay low for a while.
Lockup Unfortunately, not all attempts go smoothly. One day, you’re caught and placed in lockup. This time, you have no choice but to wait for your sentence to expire or spend 1 crystal to get out quickly. You choose to spend the crystal, valuing your time and freedom too much to wait it out.
Conclusion
Jail is a common hazard in the life of a mobster, but with the right strategy and a little help from your friends, it’s never the end of the road. Whether you’re busting out allies, attempting daring escapes, or simply waiting out your time, understanding the jail system in Rails Network Mobsters is key to maintaining your freedom and continuing your climb to power. Stay sharp, plan your moves, and never let the bars hold you back.
