Mastering the Art of Crime in Rails: Mobsters

In the dark and dangerous world of Rails Network Mobsters, committing crimes is your primary source of XP and a critical path to rising through the ranks. As you gain notoriety and experience, different crimes become available, each offering more significant rewards and challenges. Here’s how the crime system works and how you can leverage it to your advantage.

Rising Through the Ranks

As you start your journey in the criminal underworld, you'll begin with simpler crimes. But as you prove your worth and climb the ranks, more lucrative and dangerous opportunities will open up:

  1. Rob a Fruit Cart (Low XP)

    • Rank: Street Thief
    • Description: As a beginner, you start small, targeting local fruit carts. It’s low risk, but also low reward. Perfect for gaining initial experience and learning the ropes.
  2. Pickpocket a Civilian (Medium XP)

    • Rank: Thug
    • Description: With a bit of experience under your belt, you move on to pickpocketing civilians. It’s riskier but offers better XP, helping you climb the ranks faster.
  3. Rob a Grocery Store (High XP)

    • Rank: Made Man
    • Description: Now a Made Man, you’re ready for bigger scores. Robbing grocery stores is more challenging and rewarding, marking your transition to more serious crimes.
  4. Rob a Restaurant (Higher XP)

    • Rank: Boss
    • Description: As a Boss, you target restaurants. These operations are high-risk but offer substantial XP, boosting your standing in the mob world significantly.
  5. Rob from a Family-Owned Business (Highest XP)

    • Rank: Godfather
    • Description: The pinnacle of criminal activities. As a Godfather, you rob family-owned businesses, the most challenging and rewarding crimes, solidifying your dominance in the underworld.

Crime Success Rates and Risks

Each crime has a set success rate of 80%, meaning there's always a 20% chance of failure. But beware, if you fail, there’s a 50% chance you’ll be arrested. Arrest comes with its own set of challenges:

  • Arrest Consequences: If arrested, you’ll be unable to commit any actions in the game for 30 seconds.
  • Escape Options: While in jail, you can attempt to bust yourself out or hope another player will bust you out. However, failing to escape adds an additional minute to your jail time.

Example Scenario

Imagine you’re Tony "The Fox" Falcone, an ambitious mobster climbing the ranks. You start as a Street Thief, robbing fruit carts to gain your initial XP. With each successful crime, you gain experience and move up to Thug, where you start pickpocketing civilians.

Your confidence grows as you progress to Made Man, robbing grocery stores. Each successful heist brings you closer to your goal. As a Boss, you’re now robbing restaurants, earning higher XP and solidifying your reputation.

Finally, you reach the rank of Godfather. You plan a daring heist on a family-owned business. The stakes are high, but so are the rewards. You succeed, earning the highest XP and cementing your place at the top of the mob world.

Conclusion

Crimes in Rails Network Mobsters are your pathway to power and prestige. By strategically choosing which crimes to commit based on your rank, you can maximize your XP and rise through the ranks. But always be mindful of the risks—failure and arrest are constant threats. Plan your moves carefully, execute with precision, and you’ll dominate the criminal underworld.
