Hitlist

Hitlists: The Art of Silent Revenge

In the world of Rails Network Mobsters, the hitlist is a powerful tool for taking out rivals without directly confronting them. Here's how the hitlist feature works:

Hiring an Assassin to Whack a Target

Adding a Player to the Hitlist

  1. Accessing the Hitlist: Navigate to the hitlist section of the game interface.
  2. Choosing Your Target: Enter the name of the player you want to whack.
  3. Setting the Bounty: Decide on the amount of money you want to offer as a bounty for the hit. The higher the bounty, the more attractive it will be to potential assassins.
  4. Anonymity Options:
    • Open Hit: You can choose to list the target openly and provide a reason for why you want them whacked. This makes it clear who wants the target dead and why.
    • Anonymous Hit: Alternatively, you can list the target anonymously without giving a reason. This keeps your identity hidden and adds an element of mystery.

Notification and Tracking

  • Confirmation: Once you add a player to the hitlist, the system will confirm the listing and deduct the bounty amount from your account.
  • Tracking the Hit: You will not receive updates about the target's movements or the progress of the hit. It's a "set it and forget it" feature where you trust the system to handle the details.

Execution of the Hit

  1. Assassin Engagement: Once the bounty is posted, assassins in the game will see the hit and decide whether to take it on.
  2. Attempting the Whack: The assassin will track down the target and attempt the whack using their skills and resources.
  3. Success or Failure:
    • Successful Whack: If the assassin successfully whacks the target, you will be notified of the hit's success. The bounty is then paid out to the assassin.
    • Failed Whack: If the whack attempt fails, the target remains alive, and you may need to reassess your strategy or increase the bounty to entice more skilled assassins.

Risks and Rewards

  • Anonymous Hits: Placing an anonymous hit keeps your identity safe but may require a higher bounty to attract top assassins.
  • Open Hits: Declaring your intent openly can intimidate rivals but also paints a target on your back.

Witness Statements

  • Witnesses: When a player is whacked, three witness statements are randomly sent to other players in the same city via a popup notification and in their notification center.
  • Usage: Holders of witness statements can post the shooter's information on the grave of the deceased in the Graveyard.
  • Transfer: Witness statements can be transferred between players via Escrow, adding another layer of intrigue to the hitlist feature.

Conclusion

The hitlist feature in Rails Network Mobsters allows players to strategically eliminate rivals without direct confrontation. By hiring an assassin and placing a bounty, you can quietly remove threats and climb the ranks in the underworld. Whether you choose to make your intentions known or operate from the shadows, the hitlist is an essential tool for any ambitious mobster.
